CK3MCuN Plug Valve

This plug valve features a dual-pressure design, rapid quarter-turn operation, and a reduce bore flow path that minimizes pressure drop. Its cavity-free body prevents media entrapment—making it ideal for slurry, viscous, or particle-laden services. The valve body is constructed from CK3MCuN (UNS N08926) super austenitic stainless steel, offering exceptional resistance to sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, chlorides, and seawater.
DESCRIPTION

NSV CK3MCuN Plug Valve


This plug valve features a dual-pressure design, rapid quarter-turn operation, and a reduce bore flow path that minimizes pressure drop. Its cavity-free body prevents media entrapmentmaking it ideal for slurry, viscous, or particle-laden services. The valve body is constructed from CK3MCuN (UNS N08926) super austenitic stainless steel, offering exceptional resistance to sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, chlorides, and seawater.

Performance Advantages

CK3MCuN alloy delivers outstanding pitting and crevice corrosion resistance (PREN > 40); the cavity-free design eliminates dead zones and resists clogging or corrosion buildup; metal-to-metal sealing ensures bubble-tight shut-off under high pressure and wide temperature range; actuation is optimized by sizewith gear operators standard from 4" upward for effortless operation; and both full-bore and reduced-bore flow paths are available to flexibly meet differential pressure and structural requirements.

 

Typical Applications

Chemical dosing systems, flue gas desulfurization (FGD), seawater cooling lines, pharmaceutical reactors, pulp digesters, mining slurry pipelines, and offshore platforms handling highly corrosive or abrasive fluids.
